MY TRIP TO SUMPAH        PEMUDA MUSEUM

Introduction

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit museums in Jakarta: the Sumpah Pemuda museum. This museum is a historical landmark that commemorates the Sumpah pemuda, or Youth Pledge.

Why I Chose to Visit

I decided to visit these museums for two main reasons. First, my sister had recommended it to me, Second, I was attracted to the fact that the museum is relatively affordable, with a ticket price of only Rp 2,000 for adults.

Journey to the Museum

My trip to the museum began from my hometown, Garut. I took a train to Pasar Senen Station in Jakarta on June 22, 2024. Once I arrived at the station, I use a Gojek ride to the museum. 

My Experience at the Museum

I had a wonderful time at the Sumpah Pemuda Museum. The museum is well-organized and easy to navigate was particularly impressed by the collection of artifacts from the congress, which included photographs, documents, and statue The museum was also very clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful

Description of the Museum and Its Atmosphere

The building is surrounded by trees and gardens, and it has a very peaceful atmosphere. The atmosphere inside the museum The exhibits are well-labeled, and there is plenty of space to move around. I found the museum to be a very relaxing and enjoyable place to learn about Indonesian history

The People I Met

When I first arrived at the museum, I was surprised by how quiet it was. There were only a few other visitors there, I met a few other visitors at the museum, and they were all very friendly

My Impressions and Messages Gained from the Trip

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to visit the Sumpah Pemuda Museum. It is a trulyspecial place that has a lot to offer visitors. I learned a great deal about Indonesianhistory, and I was inspired by the story of the Indonesian Youth Congress.
